Suggestions for Red Robin

Eww!  The emoticon..is amazing.

It is weird how different the plans are between surgeons.

At my followup, I did ask about protein followups and they just pretty much said the nurse said that their isnt much evidence for protein and therefore the practice doesnt give out a "number" to achieve.

I do agree with starch bombs (pet hair magnet). I have worried about carbs since I was diagnosed with PCOS and I too am looking around in the list of foods i can have and think..starch starch starch.

Thanks.

By the way..I upped my water and a pound just disappeared overnight!

Thanks again.

I'd just get chili. I know that have that there... And as a few other posters have already stated , I'd strongly suggest a trip to the nutritionist. When I was in purée phase I was eating Greek yogurt, unsweetened applesauce, soups and protein shakes. I wouldn't risk trying anything fried, but that's just me

I dont have a puree stage. I was shakes and clear liquids...then on to apple sauce and now flakey foods (fish) and mooshy foods.  My plan seems to be entirely different from everyone elses. Knd of un-nerving. And the list of foods and when they come into play came from the inhouse nutritionist. Right from her hands.

Soon Week 7 will be here and the first thing I am going to eat is a raw green pepper. I miss it so much!

FYI, and I am speaking from experience, just because they say they are a "nutritionist" doesn't mean they have any type of degree or background in nutrition.  Many nuts have no degree in nutrition.  I saw my nut once and discovered she is a moron.  Just because your nut has something on your plan doesn't mean you "should" eat it.  Manysurgeons are great at cutting and clueless about nutrition.

Hope you tolerate it. I could no more eat even a SLICE of raw green pepper than I could eat my own hand at this point and I am almost 9 months out. TORE ME UP! Tried it MLK weekend, laid on my bed for over an hour asking myself why.

Although everyone is different and tolerates food differently.. You never know until you try it. I have heard many people say they cannot handle chicken the first year. I can! However, I eat a scrambled egg, and my pouch hurts!

My plan " allows" for pasta at this point but I would not eat it. It also allowed for mashed potatoes in the soft food phase but it has almost no nutritional value besides potassium. I wouldn't do the fried fish myself, the oil will fry more than the breading. Bring a strainer and strain your own soup.

Red Robin also has French Onion soup.  You could probably ask them to leave off the crouton and/or cheese.  It's not the highest in protein, but it's basically broth with mushy onions and not likely to cause a scene.  :D

I have them leave the bread off, but keep the cheese.
