Sending you unwavering support from here. I'm sorry you have dealt with some negative replies that are uncalled for. I just want to encourage you to try to keep on top of your vitamins because you might feel weaker than usual during all of this. (((Hugs)))
There is nothing wrong with pointing out that there can be psychological scars after abortion. We advise about all the risks with every other medical procedure, so I think it's wrong not to cover all the bases with abortion. Just because someone advises caution in getting an abortion doesn't mean they're shoving their beliefs down anyones throat. Abortion is a big decision, don't treat it like it's not.
There can also be psychological scars after giving birth. Having a child is a big decision, don't treat it like it's not.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
I think the biggest psychological scars come from having teenagers. And reading internet forums.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
No, no. If you have teenagers, the worst is yet to come. They become adult, load their problems on to you but now you can do nothing to help. But they feel better because they have unloaded but leave you feeling like a limp rag. Then they have children and you worry about your children, your grandchildren and what would happen to your children if anything happened to your grandchildren. Or to your grandchildren if anything happened to your children. Layer upon layer upon layer!
But however strongly I felt I would never tell them what to do with their own bodies.
