cymbalta after RNY
I was on it prior to surgery... It worked ok after surgery for a while. Actually it never really stopped working. It worked great all along. It just REALLY bothered by pouch post op. I ended up having to double up on my omeprazole and eventually had to go off of it.
I've been on it for about seven months. I'm using it for chronic pain more than depression. I think it has helped the pain a little. I think it also reduced my anxiety. It made me really nauseous the first three weeks or so that I was on it. I was actually about to stop taking it because of that. I was hoping the nausea would go away as I got used to the medication, and it did go away after about three weeks. But ugh, I felt really miserable for a while.

I've been on Cymbalta for 10 years and I'm 1 1/2 years post op. Cymbalta has been life changing for me and has not caused me to gain weight. Very helpful with my anxiety and severe depression issues.
