Gas or something to worry about?
Hi guys! Today is my first day back on semi-solid food (i.e. scrambled egg and tuna salad made with FF mayo).
This morning I gave scrambled egg beaters a whirl. I did one tablespoon with no problem.
For lunch I did the tuna salad (two tablespoons) at 11.30. I did small bites with the baby spoon and chewed to applesauce consistency. My stomach made loud noises (gurgling), but that was not concerning.
Now it is 2.30 (i.e. 3 hours from lunch) and I got 6 (over 30 minutes) stabbing pains. They were brief (like 2 seconds each) and occurred in the region of my belly button and lower right incisions. Do you think this is something to worry about?
I am being hyper-viligent because this is my first day with "real food" but am still in that critical 3 week period for tears and rips.
Thanks for your response

Small pains are common apparently when people first move to food after extended liquids and purées. The only thing that seems a little odd is that you describe them as "stabbing". I have not heard of the typical pains being described as so intense. If there were so few of them, though, I wouldn't be concerned unless it does it every time you eat for several meals.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Ok. Thanks Lora!
I might take it easy and make it a scrambled egg or cottage cheese dinner tonight since they didn't disturb me. I will revisit the tuna in a few days.
By stabbing, I meant "brief, sharp and highly localized." The pain was momentarily a 6 (on a scale of 1 to 10) and then was gone.
Thanks!

Scrambled eggs are hit and miss with me still. For some reason my pouch doesn't like them occasionally.
