Breast pain after weight loss?

I am 9 months post surgery and have lost 130 lbs so far!  Everything has been going awesome for me, I'm following my food plan, getting all of my vitamins in and haven't had any issue.  Until yesterday.  I noticed that when I took my bra off I got a shooting pain through one of my breasts.  Put the bra back on and the pain goes away.  There are no lumps or anything out of the ordinary that I can see.  I plan to ask my doctor about it but was curious in the mean time if anyone else had ever experienced this?

Yes - the rapid weight loss has some obvious effects on the shape of the breast, and this can cause some temporary pain/tenderness. The same thing happened to me - just as you described - it really scared me, at first, because the only other time I had experienced something similar was when I was pregnant! I think you're probably fine, but, of course, it never hurts to consult with your doctor.

I had the same thing intermittently.  I mentioned it just casually when I had an appt with my surgeon for something else and was told that, at least for people like me with very large breasts, the additional sagging as you lose the fat can exert pressure on nerves.  I get it every now and then even six years post-op (but I still have huge breasts... always have had)

Um, no.  I would be willing to give some breast tissue to someone who would take the residual fat from my thighs, though! ;)

I had the same thing happen.I don't think my bra was supportive enough.I felt better when I put on a more supportive one and felt so much better.
