OT: more puppy pics and a surprise

First, a picture of Maggie and I from today. (I look terrible because it was VERY windy and drizzly today... terrible for fine, thin hair!)

Maggie is 9 weeks old and will be coming home next Sunday.

Now, the surprise. My mom is getting one of the male puppies from another litter! he is exactly 7 days younger than she is, but the breeder is going to give him his shots 2 days early and I am going to wait an extra day so we can pick them up on the same day. (The breeder is over an hour and a half drive each way, and we have already made two trips so only wanted to make one more!)

Here are both of them. (I'm a little jealous because her guy -- his name is Andrew -- has lots of fluffy puppy hair and right now he's cuter than Maggie! It won't last, but still... he's a doll baby right now!)

My mom only lives two streets over, so it will be great to have two that are the same age and can play together (and wear themselves out instead of wearing us out). Scotties are very high energy for about two years! Before we have always been in a situation where one had a new puppy and the other had one that was 5 or 6 years old and less active. Two puppies are going to be so much fun. Gus is going to look like a monster compared to Maggie, though!

We haven't told my brother and SIL (both huge puppy/dog lovers) that Mom also got a puppy, so we are going to surprise them with the two of them when we meet for dinner the following Friday. I can't post about in Facebook, though because my SIL will see it!
