Hi everyone!! So I am 7 months out and down 97 pounds! the last 3 are hanging on for dear life to me!! lol. Anyway I have been learning to love life again. We have a mountain by my house that is popular for hiking and I have taken to that. It is a 6 mile hike round trip with a mile of it being  up on a 30% incline.  Last Saturday I actually ran the mile back down! I just started running and it felt so good I kept going!

Surgery is the best thing I could have EVER done! I feel alive and I am enjoying life. New years day I took my kids to the park and just for fun we climbed up a hill and rolled down it together. a year ago I would have never have done it.

I live in a small town with no support groups. I would drive 3 hours once a month to my Dr appointment then go to the meeting in San Diego. I hosted a support group meeting for the first time last night here in my town. I will still go to San Diego once a month for the meeting there but now i can give back. .

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
