A peanut butter question...

I use to love eating peanut butter! Loved it! But recently I haven't been able to. Every time I did, I'd start burping and burping. It would just make me so gassy and uncomfortable.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? What in the world could make that happen?

Anyways, no more peanut butter for me. Or milk, but that's another problem...

Can you eat regular peanuts?  If so just grind them up in a food processor and there you go. A lot of store bought peanut butter has a lot of sugar in it, and oil.  I have heard of PB2 but have not tried it yet. I also like other nut butters...almond butter or sunflower butter in limited quantities with low sugar content.  I had a little bit of Jiff ONCE and NEVER again....

No, I tried peanuts. Same results. Never had that happen before. Sucks, cause it used to be one of my favorite snacks when I was feeling shaky.

I am not sure why that would happen? Some foods set off burping fits for me as well and I am not sure what causes it. My most burpy food is any meat cooked in a slow cooker!

MISS CALLA!!! Long time no see! Love seeing your beautiful smile again!
Anyways... Got a little excited there.... I would die if I couldn't eat meat from the slow cooker. It's usually the only way I eat it.

But my beloved PB! Even peanuts. I get sick each time. And lately, my mouth breaks out with it too, but I looked up if one can become allergic to peanuts, and found nothing. I'm able to eat chashews and almonds, no problem. So maybe I'll have to just stick to almond butter. 😔

But it's not the same.

Haha, and you always make me smile!

Hmm I wonder if you can develop a food allergy? I would be sad to loose peanut butter too...

I hope not. But who knows. In the mean time I shall stay away.

I'll sometimes get the hiccups or runny nose when I'm full. Maybe the peanut butter clogs your pouch and makes you feel full? I haven't had peanut butter since surgery. Too many calories for the nutrition, and there are other things I'm more interested in.

No, I don't have a lot. Maybe a tsp at a time. I just put it on a baby spoon (I use baby spoons for quantity control) and lick it right off of there. Not enough to fill me up. But apparently enough to make me sick. I've been avoiding it now.
