Help With My Fitness Pal
I want to set up and start using my fitness pal, but there's some information I"m lacking. Calories and carbs mainly The only info in my plan is for protein and tell what is on my plan for eating but no idea about how many calories or carbs for day this should be. I'm in the stablization phase. Does anyone have any clues?
I set mine up for 1200 cals per day as that is what my dietician said to aim for on days I exercise (which I generally do everyday).
You can select the automatic set-up which will configure your protein, carbs & fat for you or you can select manual set-up & pick the percentage for each of the protein, carbs & fat. I put in 30% for both protein & fat and 40% for carbs. Not sure if that is exactly right, but it really is just to give you an idea. As long as I get my 60-90 grams of protein in each day, everything else seems to fall into place (usually less than 30% for fat, which I think I prefer closer to 20%).
Hope this helps :)
PS: my dietician had said to aim for at least 90 grams of carbs & 14-25 grams of fibre per day. More carbs if exercising.

I set up my profile by customizing my goals. I am a little over 2 months post op and am at 700 calories a day. I spoke with my dietician because I felt my fat grams per day were a little low but she assured me my breakdown was perfect.
Carbs 45%.........79.0g
Protein 35%........61.0g
Fat 30%..............16.0g Hope this helps

Your plan is a carb focused one? Not protein focused? And 700 calories at 2 months out?

Yes, that's what my dietician met with me and put me on until my next visit
MFP will really help you keep track, so that is awesome. :)
