OT: pics of the puppy I am getting in January
Gus is getting a little sister in a few weeks. I went to the breeder's (1.5 hours away) today to select her (I had first pick of the 4 females, but one is a very small runt, and with 80+ pound Gus, I need a full-sized Scottie, so I did not consider her). There was one who had a slightly broader face and slightly thicker coat, but the little girl I ultimately chose was just as content to sit on my lap or be held as she was to play with me or her sisters. Hopefully she will be more "snuggly" than a typical Scottie (one of the three Scotties I have had was fairly snuggly; none of the 5 my parents have had has been snuggly).
They are just six weeks old and about 3.5 pounds, so she is still a little thin and is just NOW starting to look like a Scottie puppy instead of a gopher. I will be able to go pick her up on the 18th of January. By then, she will have filled out (she will have an adorable little round puppy belly) and her ears will be all the way up. She will be 20 pounds or so when full grown, so even then she will only be 1/4 of Gus's weight, but she will be much more nimble than he is so she will be able to out run him (and fit under things that he cannot). (ETA: their id tags are hospital bracelets, to give you an idea of size.)

OMG!!!! SO adorable!! Omg, if I could I would adopt every single animal on the planet lol... we have three cats already and I would love a dog but I don't think my husband will ever go for it lol!

Oh, I see... Puppy first (understandable), then Gus, and THEN me! LOL
My knee is pretty good most days, but about the time i think "hey, this feels pretty good", I get a day where it swells and hurts a lot. Those bad days aside, though, there is still some stiffness and pain off and on -- as is to be expected for another couple of months -- but minimal swelling (just enough to keep those annoying "clicks" occurring!). Only three more weekly sessions of Physical Therapy to work on my gait!!
