OT: First birthday pics of Gus
Here are a couple of pictures that I took of Gus on his first birthday with his birthday present. He is currently 80 pounds and will likely pick up another 5 or so over the next 6 months.
(The color is accurate in the first two pics.)

So cute!! I have a chow/shar pei mix. All I think when I see Gus is, goodness gracious that is a lot of hair!! lol
The next dog I get will be a non-shedding one.

Yes! Fortunately, Scotties are pretty low maintenance! They need a trip to the groomer 3-4 times per year, but other than that, an occasional brushing of their skirt is the only thing required! I spend at least 2 hours a week just brushing Gus, double that twice a year when he blows his coat when the seasons change.

Glad to hear Scotties are low maintenance!! Here in Houston my dog's winter coat grows and sheds all winter long. We will have a few days of 70's, then it falls to the 30's. Her body stays confused. Right now her hair is falling off in clumps. It is hard to keep up!!
