Ham & Beans?
Not sure if it would be ok to have some. I made it myself with really lean ham and great northern beans a ilttle onion, carrot, salt and pepper. It's carbs but good carbs? 1/2 a cup shouldn't be too bad do ya think?
I don't know of any reason it wouldn't be OK. Beans have complex carbs and fiber, which we need in our diet. I don't eat meat at all and have used beans for a lot of my protein since two weeks post op. Well, one week if you count refried beans.

Thank you. I'm gonna go for it had have some for lunch :) I could use a little fiber and they are a good source of protein
I am pre-op
I cant answer it for you.
However, in the PCOS/glyceimic index diet sense, the beans release the carbs more slowly than white sugar. They also provide a bit of fiber and protein.
If I had a choice between an egg noodles or great northern beans, for my PCOS ...I would pick great northerns.
However, if I had any choice, due to my pcos, I would make the lean ham...and steamed broccoli or blanched/wilted spinach or asparagus.
