Eating is becoming uncomfortable...
luckily I do love seafood and it is much less dense, I think i'm going to try having more of this the next few days and see if that helps too. Thanks!
Thanks for replying. Very good advice. I am going to try the chicken thighs and maybe cook in my pressure cooker it makes everything so juicy. I'm going to have to figure out that full signal too, i've been relying on measuring everything and trying to focus on getting in what I'm supposed to but maybe I just can't handle that much of every food.
Should have read the entire thread before posting. MrsLitch and I had a similar comment.
You may even want to try chicken in the crock pot with low fat (or full fat) cream of mushroom soup. Having a gravy to keep the meat moist was key early out for me. I also used low sugar ketchup occasionally to help.
On the seafood it's usually tolerated by most. Have you tried a tuna salad with mayo and eggs, it's a good source of protein.

That's a great idea, the crock pot and cream of mushroom soup I really like that and didn't think of it, I have been grilling the chicken breast. (DUH moment)
As for the tuna I just can't do it. I have a strong aversion to tuna I know it's good for you but its in my head and the thought even makes me gag lol. Maybe egg salad or chicken salad using the canned chicken. I will try those :)
The pressure cooker should make it much more juicy! I used pressure cooker and the crock pot to keep things moister. Even at almost 18 mo out dense protein still fills me very quickly. I'm eating what my plan called for at about 6 months out most of the time so I eat more than the three meals a day my plan calls for just to get my protein in. You'll also probably find that some days something will sit well other's it won't. Or one day you can get X amount in and the next day you can only get half of that in. I still have that going on at this point.
Please let us know how it goes for you making some adjustments. I have no doubt you will get it all figured it out soon enough. We all had moments that we didn't know what to do. I can remember when my plan called for 3T of puree meat and when I ate it I felt horrible. I thought it was the mean never guessed the amount until one day I got called away after only eating 2T and I realized it didn't bother me at all that day. That's when I figured out the feeling I was feeling was from the amount. From then forward I've played with amounts until I finally figured out the "stop" feeling. It's funny because there are times I'll put a bite in my mouth and something somewhere in my brain says "don't swallow that! You'll be sorry!" lol I spit it out when that happens, or I pay for it. And I'm not talking about getting that message at even a cup of food, sometimes I get it at 1/2 cup even this far out. I hope you learn your signals soon so you can have an enjoyable first year!
Ronda, try eating less of the chicken or ground beef just 1-2 bites and see if that works. Even though you are following your plan the quantity may be too much for your pouch.
Make sure it's really moist also. Then if it still bothers you wait a couple of weeks and try again. Nausea hits some of us for a while. I had lots of nausea early out (about 8 weeks). No vomiting just that yuck feeling.
You might give hot peppermint tea a try it seemed to do wonders for my nausea.
Hang in there it gets better.

The only kind of ground beef I can eat is the super lean, cooked really well. Turkey is much easier than chicken for me. It took me a few months before I could eat without that icky feeling...I still get it from time to time and use protein shakes....I do watch it though, because mine was a sharp burning pain right in the middle of my breast bone, and it got worse after eating pretty much anything....turned out i had a small ulcer, so definitely check with your doc...sounds like a picky pouch, but it's good to stay in communication with your doc....when my ulcer started, it only took a day or too to go from picky to painfully unable to eat and dehydration...when I can't eat much, I do focus on getting fluid in....and protein. Good luck
