Eating is becoming uncomfortable...
Well, I guess maybe it has been but lately it's getting on my nerves. I guess I expected it to be easier by now. But, I always have a very uncomfortable feeling after I eat. I don't get hungry often so mostly I try to eat on a schedule. Once in a while I will get hungry but either way i'm uncomfortable for an hour or so after I eat. Crampy, a little sick to my tummy. I havent vomited or anything like that, and I am not eating things I should not, or overeating so I dont know what it's all about. But I needed to vent because i'm sick of it.
Does it happen regardless of what you eat? Even if you only eat a very small amount? What does your surgeon say?

I haven't asked my surgeon about it yet, it's not horrific just uncomfortable. But I do see him on the 2nd so I will bring it up then.
what are you eating? Give us examples. Sometimes pouches are picky, especially since you only had surgery a month ago. I remember staying on protein shakes for about a month because food did not sit ell with me in the beginning. That stage did not last long for me.

I'm thinking it's meat that is the main culprit, mostly chicken breast, and ground beef. And thats mainly what I eat. I did have some shrimp from shrimp ****tail and that was fine, yogurt is fine so maybe it's the chicken and ground beef dishes? Maybe I should try eating even smaller portions of those and see if it still happens. maybe I am having just bite too much or something? Or maybe I'm just not tolerating them well.
Some things are just hard to explain. I have an easier time with steak than I do with chicken or ground beef. You just need to be aware of problem foods and stay away. Try them again further down the line.
You might try deli chicken. Although it has a lot more sodium than chicken you would cook yourself, it is also more moist and tender, and goes down easier.

I know it's hard, but I know I had to be patient in the beginning. A lot of things didn't sit well with me, but they eventually pass and the weight loss that will come makes it all worth it. I think it just takes time for our new pouch to adjust to food and for us to learn what and how much we can eat.
I am preop. But I just looked at the handout my NUT gave me. At 4 weeks post op, according to her, you are on egg salad, hard boiled eggs, flakey fish, soft cooked veggies, soft fruits, soft cooked pasta (mac and cheese, small noodles with tomato sauce) soft cooked beans, lentil, lemumes, humus, tofu, yogurt, drained out minestroney soup, scrambled egg.
Shaved/ground meats arent even on there. Those dont show up until week 7 and beyond.
Maybe it is too much meat too soon?
I loved creamed spinach (green giant) and steamed broccoli...she doesnt want me to try fiber untils weeks 5 and 6! Too much fiber too soon and meat too soon is too hard on a new tummy (per her..me paraphrasing).
