Never full

Is all this food on your list of things you can have now? How about the portions? Most of us are given a list of what to eat, when and in what portions. At 3 weeks out I was still on liquids, moving to pureed foods. You do know that your stomach surgery site won't heal up inside till 4-6 weeks after surgery so you won't feel full, overfull or hungry or anything until the nerves grow back. You may be over filling now with all that food and don't know it. You don't want to stretch your pouch out or worse rip out the sutures in there that are still healing. Most of us aren't allowed burritos, pizza, most carbs, breads crackers, corn or much of what you're eating now. Is that ok with your doctor?? And if not why are you going against your eating plan. You had this surgery to lose weight and learn how to eat a more healthy diet. Allowing your pouch to heal properly, following the directions for your post op diet and learning new eating habits are part of this plan. Eating more and foods not allowed yet is going to set you up for failure. Double check your info you got from the hospital or your surgeon on what to eat NOW. Stick to the plan. Quit tempting fate and be glad you haven't done any damage so far. We are on a certain eating plan for a reason - we're all on a specific plan to our surgeon or nut and it works for us now and long term. Most of us aren't allowed hamburger, eggs, onions, tomatos (acid) and potatoes are a big no no. Get back to your plan and let your body heal up without all this food being put into a new pouch. Do  your pureed and soft foods, get in your protein and water and only add foods later on when they're allowed. You'll be happier later.

I've not read every single post so please forgive me if I'm duplicating, but I didn't notice anyone mention this:

hopefully, post-op, you will NEVER "feel full" again.  At least not in the same way you did pre-op.  Most of us (I'm guessing) have made the mistake of eating just one bite too many and paid an awful physically painful price.

"Full" is different now.  Think of it as just eating until your "not hungry" anymore.  It'll work much, much better I promise.

As for what  you're eating, I think enough has been said.  I was not allowed solid food at all until week 9 and I survived just fine. But I know all are different.  You will be able to eat probably almost anything you want again at some point (barring dumping) so there's no rush in trying different things that may unknowingly hurt your pouch.

You're an adult though, so it's all you.  Whatever you decide, whatever works for you, I wish you the very best on this life long journey.
