Just what the title says. How long after surgery did you start to feel hungry again? Not head hunger, but "I need to eat" hunger?

Two years; yup, that's right - a good two years before I felt actual hunger.

I felt hunger from day 1.  Not head hunger but i need to eat hunger.  Yesterday for some reason i was hungry all day.  No matter how much protein i got in it just didn't do the trick.  Today is a better day.  had my protein and so far so good.

I have read a lot of post and it seems like there are so many like me and there are so many that don't feel hungry at all ever...  (wish i was one of those)

Good luck!!

Just hit six years and not feeling hungry yet.  I do believe the secret is never to let white carbs back into your diet.  Lots of lean protein and non-starchy vegetables and little or no bread, rice, crackers, sugar, pasta.

I swear I started feeling actual hunger at about 2 weeks out.  I am full/satisfied with just a few bites, but I it was definitely real hunger.

I am 8 months post-op and haven't felt hunger yet, at least not as I used to know it. For the last month or so I have been getting this sick feeling in my stomach, for what I have determined, is when I am hungry. If I eat something when I get that feeling, I feel better right away. I used to get a sick feeling when I went too long between meals before surgery, so, I guess that is what is happening now. Although, I generally eat every 2-3 hours, so, I am surprised to get that feeling so quickly. The only thing I can of is, because I eat so little now at any one meal, it doesn't keep me as full for very long now.

I don't have a true hunger feeling.  If I wait a while to eat I'll eventually feel what I call a dull ache (empty ?) feeling in my pouch.  Now some days I can and want to eat, if I get really busy I forget to eat until I realize how long it's been.
