I am starting to notice more hair in the shower and in my hair brush. I knew this could happn but am at a loss as to if I should just try to power through it or if I should cut my hair in a shoulder length bob

Now (face is a bit thinner now but no new pics yet)

You have beautiful hair.  I think the bob would look great on you.  I have been losing my hair for the last few months.  My hair was halfway down my back, I went to the hairdressers Thursday and got it cut a little below my shoulders and she did layers, it looks so healthy and full, can't see any bald spots.  Gotta love a great hairdresser.

You have gorgeous hair! I started with a cut as you posted, but had to end up cutting it MUCH shorter as the loss continued and then when the baby hairs came in (thank goodness, at last!) I had to get the top textured so it did not look like I stuck my finger in a bad socket. :)

But now (knock wood!) the loss is slowing and the baby hairs are increasing and I am on the way to not being bald in places. YAY!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

How early did you start losing your hair? I'm about six weeks behind you and started losing my hair at two months. I've lost about half of it so far. I just had wrist surgery under general anesthesia and I'm wondering if that will affect the loss/regrowth. I may have to just shave my head and wear hats.

I buy the Rita Halzan root color spray to cover the thin spots.

I cut my hair like an inch below shoulder and it looks so much fuller and thick. Before it was halfway down my back but I would get so many knots from having curly hair. I am losing hair slowly yikes but this hair cut really masks it.

The bob h/c would look great on you.  Hop on Pinterest, there a tons of cute mid length cuts.

I'm 2 weeks out but in May and July I had knee surgeries and now RNY. I already have short hair so I might very well end up bald! I am a cosmetologist and do both hair and nails so bald would not be good for business, lol.

A trusted hairdresser can best advise you, based on the actual condition of your hair.  However, it might be fun to change your style to reflect the new you.

My hair is slightly longer than yours and it's coming out by the handfuls. I'm about to go with a shoulder length layered cut.

If you like the length of your hair, I would wait and see what happens.  It looks like you have a lot of hair, so it might not be noticeable.  The bob is cute, so if you're ready for a change, it would look cute on you.  You have really good hair!
