Oh no! I would call for better meds, surely there is something that you can take.  I'm so sorry and hope it heals quickly!

Thanks everyone! The biggest problem I'm having is the pain and pressure from the inflammation. The vicodin helps with some of the pain but none of the inflammation (obviously). Lots of rest, elevation, and ice are in my future!

Ask for dilaudid. I'm allergic to hydrocodone, so they gave me dilaudid (hydromorphone) after surgery. Turns out I didn't need it then, but I sure needed it when I pulled my groin.

OUCH and I say that because I KNOW the pain you are in as Sunday will be two weeks since I broke my ankle, and I'm in the same boat as you. Vicodin helped me sleep which I find is great as when I'm asleep I don't feel the pain as much. The boot is heavy and uncomfortable as all heck. I really dislike my Dr. He's a work comp Dr and the work comp rep called me yesterday to discuss my benefits and all that and let me know I can change to a different Dr in their system. Yayayayaya

Get plenty of rest and elevate the leg!!!! (((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))

Oh no! How did you deal with the inflammation since we can't take NSAIDS?
