Moderation .... "La viande" is all I chose to have....
Thanking the cook ... our very own chef ...my awesome DH (best friend, lover, husband, step dad to my kids and better half of moi) decided to get up early and make an awesome Sunday brunch to entertain friends of DD and DS coming over ... Al is an awesome cook ... and practically cooks most if not all of our family meals ... At my son's request today he made ground turkey meatballs and wheat ziti with home made fresh tomatoes sauce and 3 cheeses .... totally delicious and mega success with the visitors ...
And I? I was happy as a lark partaking in 'La viande' (french for meat) as I had an awesome cheese filled turkey meatball and a sliver of homemade garlic bread which I never managed to eat ... one meatball on a small plate did the job for me ...
Six years and 8 months post RNY and I am down 3 pounds this week .... WHAT? I am not even trying to lose an ounce ... but ... I have been cramming at training and working out a tad more than before too.... for no particular reason ... I'll take it ... it is still within my 5 pound cushion ....
I rocked my hair goofy this week ... some days short and natural other days with wigs/weaves or extension clip ons ... because I just LOVE IT ... I went downstairs and bought my bins right back upstairs ... LOL...
These are snippets of my journey on my walk away from morbid obesity for life... one day, one choice at a time...
Thanking my DH AL our awesome chef MUAH...
My comparison collage BEFORE surgery and TODAY ... moderation, portion control, moving to lose/maintain for 6 years and 8 months and rocking my journey with the same enthusiasm as the day before surgery ...
This was me on Wednesday of last week ...
and on Thursday morning it was just tooooooooooo cold to go out the with a wet head and I HATE HATS ,,, yikes they do nothing for me.. plus I feel the cold only on my head, fingers and toes ... OMG my fingers and toes are like ice blocks...
and this was on Thursday evening rocking my doggies in their costumes I found on sale after going to buy ferret food at the pet club ... YIKES they thought they were blankets it was soooooooooo cold in the house ....
and heading off to work on Friday the rascals still had their costumes one ... lopsided and all LOL...
I rearranged my dolls a bit this morning ... and once again the weekend is almost gone .... but I am grateful ... for health and mobility ... for an awesome place like OH in which to share our experiences ... thank you all for allowing this goofy sista to share Snippets of My Journey ... I have captured it all ... in my digital empowerment journal "A picture a Day Keeps the Pounds and the inches away".....
this is a close-up of Al's awesome tray...
and I close-up of my plate ... I so wanted a sliver of garlic bread ... but was stuffed and did not eat it ... no need to make myself uncomfortable eating past full ...

You look gorgeous as always. Love the doggie costumes. Good for you eating so little, I feel like all I did was eat from Friday night on. My bf brought me fried ravioli from his bar, they were awesome. Oh well Monday starts a new week. I bought a new dress today at Kohl's, I haven't bought anything in ages. It is a fitted leopard print J Lo dress. It looked good but my thighs aren't smooth so I splurged on a pair of sheer black spanx and seriously I think I am gonna live in them. My butt and thighs look smooth and firm instead of loosey goosey. I can't wait to wear it.
