Are you the right shape for your weight?

Sounds like I need to invest in some shapewear! What's best?
I have a friend who SWEARS that Assets at Target is just as good as Spanx. I have another friend who vehemently disagrees and is hard core Spanx only.
The thing I notice is that one needs a 'little' holding in, the other needs a good deal. So it might be that what works best is based on how much excess flab/skin you're trying to pack tightly.
I would go and try some on. I did and it was just not comfortable and for now, I am using pants with a slimming panel in the front sometimes and that is as much 'shapewear' as I'm doing. I don't want the extra layer, the additional step in the bathroom (2 babies of 10 lbs each made my bladder VERY urgent!) and the heat in the non-winter months. But when I hit goal and the sag is more pronounced, I might be singing a different tune completely!
All the nicer department stores here have items you can try on before you buy because once you buy, they cannot be returned.
HTH!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
I invested in shape wear--not inexpensive--and so far it remains in my drawer. I've lost 85 pounds and there's excess skin in my abdomen and sadly, the tops of my legs, but as long as I'm dressed it doesn't really show. I find the shape wear uncomfortable and I just don't like that extra layer. I would recommend investing in one piece to see how you like it before spending too much.
I think I'd really just like something over my stomach right above my belly button. That's where I seem to be hanging onto some fat and it makes it look like I'm heavier than I am now.
