Are you the right shape for your weight?
So, I know everyone is different and there's no RIGHT or WRONG shape. But I'm curious. As I lose, I notice I'm losing in very specific places. Like, not my WHOLE belly, but just little pockets. My boobs shrank, and my back is leaner, but I have funny places of fat near the back of my bra. I just feel like I'm a funny shape. It's not loose skin (yet), just oddness. And I'm wondering if I were gaining weight instead of losing if this is the shape I'd be.
I'm sure it'll mostly even out in the end, but is this pretty normal? To be an odd, lumpy kind of shape?

Yes, it is normal to lose more in some spots than others at first,a no you are correct that it will all even out in the end. Well, mostly, anyway. I have two small spots of fat right at my waist, but only on the very sides of my body (not in front and not around the back) and I have a pocket of residual fat up at the top and on the outside one just ONE thigh. I wish I could afford liposuction to get rid of all three areas, but not at the moment.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
We are definitely a lumpy bumpy bunch. Have you ever been to an OH conference? If not, go look at all the pictures they posted on facebook. Good shapewear and plastic surgery can even things out, but for most of us it does not even out on it's own.

Hi Laura,
I am a half inch shorter than you and my goal weight is the same. As I'm getting closer to reaching my goal it's time to start thinking about plastic surgery. I'm hoping to have a lower body lift (I think that's what I want) and have my arms done. It looks like that's what you had. Would you mind sharing how it was? Much pain? Reasonable cost? Good results? Hope I'm not being too personal.

I am losing and retaining my hourglass which is far more pronounced. The other days bought a dress and the sales lady commented that I had such a nice figure with a nipped in waist and it was all I could do not to sweep her into a twirl around hug!

What was your shape before?

I know this is going to sound crazy...but I wish my ass was a bit bigger/rounder. It is flat as a pancake...never had that problem before lol.
I tell people I went from an obese italian to a flat brit..... In the first year, everything but my abdomen deflated quickly. Then I got a waist again. Now, with running, I'm a bit more athletic build but still have a bit of a poochy stomach due to excess skin. Nothing that good shapewear can't fix.....

Sounds like I need to invest in some shapewear! What's best?
