Warning MEN! Monthly women issue question
Is it normal for your monthly cycle to be much rougher than they were before surgery? This is my second one and I honestly think this one is more painful and heavier than the last.
Is this normal in the begining and will it get better. Also prior to surgery I never had bloat weight gain with my period and this time my weight jumped up 3 lbs, not concerned as I know its bloat its just different.

MUCH harder. I used to barely notice I had my period. Now it is a 'keep three tampons in my purse at all times' lifestyle for me.
My PCP says it is age/hormones. And she could be right. But it started the month after surgery so the timing is certainly suspect for me.
I gain 5 lbs EXACTLY during my period now, but lose them again plus extra weight when it is over, so I don't stress when I see that number pop up at a weigh in. I know I have not had all the calories to put on 5 lbs like that. But the first few times I must admit, I was like GAH!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
Mine (2 months out) seem about normal, but super plus tampons + postpartum pad has been normal for me for awhile. I'm hoping to go the other way, actually! Unfortunately, just from what I've read here, what you're experiencing seems pretty normal.
