6 weeks out nutritionist recommended upping my calories to 1000-1200?
I know when I increased my exercise levels, my centre wanted me to get between 900-1200 cals in. Up to 900 on non-exercise days and closer to 1200 on exercise days. So, it sounds okay to me, other than I was told this at my 3 month visit. 6 weeks does sound a bit early, but, every centre is different and I don't think I was that active at 6 weeks :)

It sounds like a reasonable calorie target if your exercise is intense, which it seems to be.
One approach you may want to take is just going full-fat on your foods. For example, eat normal cheese if that's on your food plan. An extra shake or two each day is also reasonable, and maybe even a good idea to get some extra protein if you're exercising a ton.
I don't have any good advice to offer, but I am curious what activity you're doing (just for my own curiosity).

That just seems like way too much at this stage.
I run a 5K 3 days a week.
I do over 35 miles a week on the elliptical.
I take four hours of yoga, three hours of Pilates and a mat roller class each week.
I am 5 months out on the 13th and JUST moved to 800 calories a day.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
