Thank you, I will try those things. I am not supposed to do it everyday but on my high activity days they want them increased.

Maybe add peanut butter to shakes.  I did that when I was having trouble getting calories in.  Taste great too in a chocolate shake :)

I know when I increased my exercise levels, my centre wanted me to get between 900-1200 cals in. Up to 900 on non-exercise days and closer to 1200 on exercise days. So, it sounds okay to me, other than I was told this at my 3 month visit. 6 weeks does sound a bit early, but, every centre is different and I don't think I was that active at 6 weeks :)

It sounds like a reasonable calorie target if your exercise is intense, which it seems to be.

One approach you may want to take is just going full-fat on your foods.  For example, eat normal cheese if that's on your food plan.  An extra shake or two each day is also reasonable, and maybe even a good idea to get some extra protein if you're exercising a ton.

I don't have any good advice to offer, but I am curious what activity you're doing (just for my own curiosity).

That just seems like way too much at this stage.

I run a 5K 3 days a week.

I do over 35 miles a week on the elliptical.

I take four hours of yoga, three hours of Pilates and a mat roller class each week.

I am 5 months out on the 13th and JUST moved to 800 calories a day.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I am six mos out now and have to eat 1000-1200 a day so I start adding cashews or trail mix. It's also a great way to get some fiber in too. But at six weeks you probably shouldn't be eating nuts. Listen to the people telling you to add fat to your diet, they're right!

Thank you. Today I finally hit 800 by doing 3 shakes and 3 meals adding in the peanut butter and a little avocado. I feel comfortable at this point there is NO way I could get in more unless I added in milk in my shakes but this is still way more than I was getting before.
