Protein
I work at a school too and start the morning with a premier protein vanilla shake. It is too sweet for me plain, but I add it to my decaf coffee and it makes 2 giant latte like drinks which gives me 30 grams of protein. I then have a dannon light and fit greek yogurt (I love the cherry) for 12 grams and then at some point I have a package of turkey for another 12 grams and light baby bel for 6 grams which gives me 48 grams of protein without having to think too much about it..
Good luck with this though. It took me awhile to get in a groove.
Nickeliz: what a genius idea with the premier protein. I have a case and it is way too sweet for me too. I read your idea and rushed downstairs to the kitchen. I made a 16 oz.hot drink of 1/2 a premier protein and decaf coffee with one stevia. Sipping it now. Very very very good. I wonder why I didn't think of that. So simple. And so good.
My understanding is that the problem with mixing protein powder with hot liquids isn't that it's dangerous, but that it's gross because the protein changes form (like an egg white that becomes solid when cooked) and gets all clumpy. If you go to the bariatricfoodie website, she has great tips on how to mix up hot protein drinks without the clumps.

Ok. I thought that was kind of strange. Ill check that website out!
I made some really delicious peanut butter oatmeal things someone suggested in another thread. Natural peanut butter, oatmeal, stevia, protein powder. Delicious and very portable.
I also just bought some ff Greek yogurt and added a couple tablespoons of unflavored protein powder. If it's flavored yogurt, you can add quite a bit of powder as long as you let it dissolve before eating it. I find I can munch on that for a while between classes or during planning.

Ha, I'm a teacher too (first grade). I've still been doing a protein shake for breakfast and trying to get Fage Greek yogurt in for a snack and something high in protein for lunch. But it is tough to get the protein in for sure. I was going to make the peanut butter protein balls that are mentioned above this weekend and see how those are.

I'm a teacher also. I eat Greek yogurt 12 g. Cheese stick 8 g. Ready made protein shake 17 g. Half of protein bar 6 g. Nuts 10 g. Throughout the day and have 53 G protein before I get home. Then I eat dinner with a piece of meat. Easy! It's the weekends when I don't do so well. I forget to eat.
