I loved Mobic before surgery, it worked really well on my arthritic knee. Sorry you can't take it now. I know that sucks. I take Tylenol, which actually works much better than I thought it would.
Hope you can find some relief from the pain.

Mobic IS an NSAID. That being said, it's usage is a decision that can only be made between your physicians and yourself, using the "benefits vs risks" guidelines...

Would I take it myself? At 11 years post? Up until a couple of months ago, I would have said "yes"..I have taken various prescription and OTC NSAIDS, in moderation, over the years...but, in August, one of my besties, an 8 yr post RNYer, had her pouch revised due to a horrendous ulcer, that MAY or MAY NOT have been attributed to prescription NSAID usage (due to back injury/surgery a few yrs ago-she needed Celebrex, etc). She has been thru pure HELL. I haven't had an Ibuprofen since August 6th-her ordeal even scared a mean old nurse like me!!

Please consult your physician and ask for an ALTERNATE medication-or-at least-for the SHORTEST TIME the NSAID needs to be used..and always always always eat a solid food first!!!

Often times an external med (cream/ointement/ice/etc) may be very beneficial, along with Physical Therapy..

Please update us with what you wind up doing, so that we may learn, along side you!

Careful with lyrics, there are lots of side effects! Have your doctor run a Iverson test to see what you naturally absorb/don't because it'll help with what's most effective for you. Also...if you want to move to a hollistic approach, cannabis oil is a miracle!
