Too much protein?

Follow your Dr or NUTs plan. In my case I was eating too much protein and had trouble losing the NUT put me back to 60 gram target which is generally low for a man. I think the widely accepted value to maintain good levels in blood work is 60. As you can see our responses are all over the place. You are going to have to see what works for you as you go. Start with what your plan is before adjusting.

I use myfitnesspal too.  Did you go into the settings and customize your protein?  If you are letting the program set your goals, they won't be right for you as a RNY patient.  You can set it for the protein amount your surgeon and/or NUT recommend.

The most recent recommendation from the ASMBS is between 60g and 1.5g/kg ideal body weight per day.  More if your individual needs or demands warrant it.

While you can technically put undue stress on your kidneys and other organs by consuming excessive amounts of protein, 100g is no where near a dangerous amount.

That said, your overall health may be better served if you backed off the protein slightly and filled the space with fruits and vegetables.  This is my personal approach.
