NSV - I can keep up with the rangers!
Hubs and I love visiting national parks, but I've always hated going on ranger-led tours. People twice my age could (and did) easily bypass me on the uphill climbs and/or stairs, and they weren't necessarily all fit and in shape. I was just so fat and sluggish, huffin' and a'puffin' along, that everyone could out-pace me.
We just returned from Carlsbad Caverns, and thoroughly enjoyed a ranger tour in addition to the self-guided tour. Granted, it wasn't anywhere near what anyone would term difficult, but it had its moments. And I wasn't trailing the group this time!!! Exciting, YES!!!
