More realistic weight calculation?
My surgeon's office gave me the site below to get an idea for ideal body weight. I like it better than BMI because it considers age.

I found it especially interesting because it showed my ideal weight to be exactly what I "felt" was a good goal for me.
See if it works for you!

Interesting thanks, the result was lower than I expected at 123 lbs
normal BMI for my height starts at 146! Currently my BMI is 22 at 130 pounds
It also gave a range which I am in

Yes 123 was in the first box. I will probably get close to that, just seemed low for a realistic weight to maintain. I fully expect to regain some in a few years when my malabsortion stops. I am starting to look to thin. I seem to be one of the lucky ones that keep losing with little effort :)

I agree. It was much lower than I expected. Normal BMI for my height is at 164. It had me at 140. It didn't take into consideration build etc. I don't think that is possible for me. I fluctuate between 144 and 149, but I have to eat less than 1000 a day to maintain at a lower weight. That is with me exercising everyday. Personally I don't think that is healthy for my body type.
