New pouch?
Weird question...is the new pouch in the middle of our abdomen or off to one side? I ask because sometimes during the day, if I sit funny or something, it feels like something i****ting my ribs on the left side. Almost feels like when I was preggo and would get kicked in the rib. I feel something there and it's just weird...not something I felt BEFORE surgery.

I am a tad embarrassed to say I don't know exactly where my pouch is, but I have had 'baby swirls' for months-totally can relate!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
I would run this past your surgeon or the PA (if there is one). You shouldn't notice your pouch at all (just as you never noticed that portion of your stomach before surgery), and it certainly shouldn't feel like getting kicked in the ribs by a baby.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
That's also where I had a lot of lap. gas after surgery. I still feel a little sore in that area.

I get this, too! It's like an annoying ache on my left ribs. It usually happens when I am sitting in the car for long periods of time. I take a break from driving, I walk around, I change the way I'm sitting--nothing seems to work. I'm 9.5 months out. I haven't spoken to my PA about it though, because it doesn't seem that important. But I think if it continues by my year appointment (or gets worse) I'll mention it.
It's where most of the trauma happens during surgery and also where they staple the "old" stomach to the muscle on the inside. My surgeon told me that I could possibly feel a pop when it healed enough to detach. I did at about 4 weeks post op and have had very minimal pain in that area since. :)
