I would be getting my butt to the ER!   I have NEVER seen anything like this and if you weren't concerned you would not have posted a picture.  You don't get that type of bruising from removal of bandages!  Also, this forum is for all opinions and we don't get to pick and choose what can or cannot be said.  We speak our thoughts and you will find many of us are not hand patters and say "oh, it's ok, it will go away on it's own."  It may but until then I would be calling my surgeon and head out to the ER!

I so agree with you on this...we all speak our thoughts and concerns...where we try our best to help each other with our opinions and thoughts on whatever the matter might be.

Did you have blood thinner medications in the hospital injected into/around your stomach? Mine where on the upper part of my arms and my arms looked REALLY bad, very much the same color as that, as a result.

I had open RNY and take a pretty hefty amount of blood thinner daily, and even my bruising was not that bad!

Definitely make sure your surgeon is aware of it to be sure you do not have something actively bleeding.

in the 10 years I have been here I have never seen anything like that,It would scare me running to the nearest ER, I have done the belly shots for three different surgeries, I bruise badly also but never like that, I would be scared ****less!!!

I would contact my surgeon tomorrow and let them know you are having alot of extreme bruising and that you are going to ER.  What you are experiencing is not normal by no means.  GET IT CHECK ASAP.  Its better to be on the safe side than let it become something serious that will take longer for your recovery.  Good Luck with whatever you do.  Please keep us informed of your decision and let us know what happens.  Keeping you in my prayers that all goes well.
