OH MY DEAR GOD! That looks hideously painful! I had a few little bruises at each of 4 incisions points--one of mine never had even the slightest bit of bruise.

I would vomit if any part of my body was like that. You POOR THING! ACK!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Yep! Mine looked like a truck had driven over my stomach. It took me about 9 weeks for all of the bruising to be gone.

Thats usually from the Lovenox injection. Its a blood thinner injection they give in the abdomen to prevent blood clots. Not painful just looks rough. Mine looked about the same :

The bruising from Lovenox or Heparin injections should NOT create bruises of that size!

Ok I didn't read all the replies before I responded to your response to my response, whew.  I noted the SAME issues in my response to you.  I had a SEROMA after my plastics and that was some 1) weird **** and 2) sooooo much fun to see that big ass needle, haha.

I had the same experience with a seroma. Thank God I was still numb. That needle was MASSIVE---swear she was going to hit my spine ! haha

Yep, BTDT after my mons lift.  Never seen such a freaking big needle!!  Had to have it aspirated six times in 3 weeks.

As a nurse, I see bruises that size from Lovenox all the time. Mine was also just as bad after my bypass too....

Also many bypass surgeons do daily injections of blood thinners, so if someone is in for more than one day, they could have multiple injections in different areas that would create several bruises that might form into one large one.
