Need some advice
So I find myself in a unique situation. Tomorrow I'm getting dinner with an ex-coworker (she moved on to another company about a year ago). I always suspected, but never asked, that she had WLS. We were somewhat close but she never offered the info and I didn't pry. However, I have obviously since pursued and had WLS myself.
I kind of hope to somehow bring it up. I think it would be great if we could support each other in our journeys. But I don't want to offend her either, and if she doesn't want to tell me anything that's totally fine. But I'm wondering if maybe she knew I had the surgery she would like having someone to open up to. What do you think? Should I say something or not? If so, how should I bring it up? Thanks!Hi
Maybe ...when you guys see each other ordering off of the childs menu you'll have your opening.

Jessica if she hasn't seen you in a while she will notice a difference and probably comment. That can be your opening to let her know you had WLS if you want to open the conversation up. She will either say she has or not.

I know a girl who had that RNY.. a few years later- she absolutely denied having that .
I think she forgot she told me - in an email - that I still have a copy of ... I never confronted her. I respect her right to privacy.
