OT - Theft by a maid

Not only does she deserve to be fired, but criminal charges should also be brought against her.

I agree with the others.  She should be in jail facing charges for theft.  I hate thieves.

I do too kinda regret saying I wouldnt press charges if I just got it back. I wasnt really thinking and I am over feeling bad as your correct she is a thieve and should be held responsible. 

This happened at my boyfriends bar with an iphone, we used the app to track it, actually found the thief and flagged down a cop to recover it.  For the owner to make a report to the police he would have lost his phone for at least 6 months as police evidence.  How unfair is that.

I get "feeling bad"-- probably either a Midwestern thing or maybe a female esteem thing.  I say that cause when I read your initial post, I "felt bad" a  Wisconsin neighbor had a bad experience while visiting Minnesota.  We're hopeless!

I am originally from Texas but I was taught to feel bad for people who make bad choices because you dont know what led to them. Its my moms fault but I am learning that people choices are their own and that we are all given the chance to be honest good people and I cant feel bad for those that choose the wrong path. 

I know how you feel about just wanting your property back.  I felt that way about my bikes, too, but given the chance I would press every charge I could, not to make myself feel better but to protect society from those without morals.  Any consequences she suffers is her own fault and will hopefully help her make better decisions in the future.
