sleep study
did anyone have to have a sleep study before WLS I know i have sleep apnea i have a c pap machine. i don't use it but the dr's said i have to be on it for 6 weeks before i can have surgery. so Monday I go for the study and wait to hear back from the dr. then i wait to get my supplies for my cpap and go on it for 6 weeks. I also have to get my A1c down to 7 and lose 15lbs but im sure im not the only one who had to do this.
Actually I have to do a breathing test tomorrow and pick up a sleep apnea at home test for tomorrow night to see if I have sleep apnea. I really hope I don't, I'm just trying to get through all these clearances. I also was asked to lose approx 30-35 lbs before my surgery which is tentative for 11/18, I've lost 20 so far. I do not eat any carbs, sugar or fruit whatsoever. Good luck with everything, hope all is well.

My sleep apnea was picked up during a doctor required clearance from a pulmonologist. I use my machine every night and feel I sleep a bit better for it. Is there a reason why you are not using yours now? It could also help you towards losing the 15 pounds. Getting the A1c down will probably occur fairly easily if you're taking your medication and watching your diet to lose those 15 pounds. Good luck - time will pass by quickly especially if you're doing all the right things.
Hang in there and complete all the requirements.
