Suggestions for good Chinese/Japanese food (3 mos. post op)
Can anyone suggest a few good options whenever dining out at a Chinese or Japanese restaurant. A few things I loved Pre-op, Hot & Sour soup, Sushi (California roll in particular), Ginger salad, beef lo mein (obviously I'd not eat the noodles now), etc. Looking for high protein options (15g+) that are also low in sugar/carbs and calorically in the 150-200 range for a portion. Thank you!!
I'm not sure how hot and sour soup is for us nutritionally speaking.

I love miso soup, sashimi (raw fish) with pickled ginger. Any tempura veggies - they are flash fried and typically very tasty. add seaweed salad .. and I am in heaven. Of course even 5 years post op - I still have limits how much I can eat - so sharing those items with my BF is great. Miso soup - is loaded with minerals and good stuff- literally no calories. A few bites of sashimi, and a 2-3 small pcs of tempura veggies.. (I we order tempura veggies - we don't get the seaweed salad... , unless my BF gets a small order of some sushi roll and can eat most of that..)

I think you could do shrimp, veggie or chicken egg foo young. I think there is only 100 cal a patty and you could get the gravy on the side and not dumped over the top... Ooooohhh. Its making me hungry just thinking about it.
Garlic chicken I think is pretty light if the chicken isn't fried. According to MFP- garlic chicken with veggies is only 230 cal for 4 oz. and 28 grams of protein. Not sure how many ounces you can eat at once at 3 months out.
I think some places also do riceless sushi. I'm not a hige sushi eater but I do like california rolls :)
