Fundraiser for my service dog - and possible meet up!
I hope it is OK to post this here. If it’s not, I apologize.
A local church is holding a fundraiser for my service dog Isaac in a couple weeks. Even though he’s been placed with me for a while now, I still owe his program a couple thousand dollars. They have been kind enough to let me pay it off over time. The fundraiser is on Sunday, September 22, at 11:45 am, in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, which is a little bit north of Columbus. What they are doing is serving lunch and people can donate as much (or as little) as they choose.
I just wanted to let people know in case anyone is nearby and would like to attend. I thought it might be fun to meet some of my OH friends in person, too. I have no clue what they are serving for lunch or how WLS-friendly it will be, but if I know some RNY folks are coming, I might bring along something RNY-friendly myself. If anyone wants to hang around for a while after lunch, we could spend some time together, too. There is a state park about two minutes away and we could all go for a walk or something.
If anybody wants more info, just message me.

Oh wow, maybe we can get together sometime after your surgery! Good luck on the 18th.

Thanks so much, Kathy. I'll PM you with the information. You can donate via PayPal or by check. If you donate by check and make it out to Isaac's program, not to me personally, the donation is tax deductible since the program is a 501(c)3 non-profit.

I wish I could meet also! I will be in Ohio but not until the 27th! (New granddaughter is being born that week!). Please send me the info on donating also.
