the smell/ look/ thought of food makes me want to vomit

I have what I think is a nasty head and chest cold and I'm assuming that the amount of mucus that is probably ending up in my stomach is what is making me nauseous. I am able to stomach water in small amounts but thats about it. Going on 6 days now and getting in my protein is a joke. If I get in all my water then I'm pretty pleased with myself. Any suggestions on how I can combat the negative affects of mucus in my stomach or is this just going to be one of those wait it out kind of things? btw I am 11wks out if that makes any difference.

How about taking an antihistamine to dry up some of the mucus?

Have you considered drinking hot broth or tea. Sometimes the hot liquid will flu**** out enough to get in some protein. I hope you feel better.

If the broth works for you, you could use Unjury chicken soup or add unflavored protein to your broth. Add a small amount of broth to the powder to make a paste. Heat up your broth and slowly add to the paste, stirring constantly. That way you won't get lumps.
