What Is It About Numbers Ending in 0?

I don't know why a particular one pound loss should feel so much more significant than another, but this one does.  I stepped on the scale this morning to see that I've now lost 70 lbs.

And I'm not even officially five months out yet!

Karen, I am so inspired by you! I believe we are neck and neck with dates and start weight, but you are leaps and bunds ahead of me! I am just about 52-53 down....starting strength training this week....I hope it helps me move this along to the rate you are losing! Great job and please keep posting...I follow you and it helps me soooo much! Congrats on 70lbs gone!

Thanks!  But actually--I've got about a six week head start on you.  :-)  My surgery was April 14th.  So it looks to me like you're doing great!

Best of luck with the strength training.  One word of advice--don't get discouraged early on (I literally couldn't sit down without hanging on to something for four days after my first personal training session).  In my experience, you start seeing results really quickly.  The first time I tried it, I could only do a plank for four seconds.  Now, 10 sessions later, I'm just shy of two minutes (1:50).  I couldn't believe it!

I don't know but I definitely agree that numbers ending in 0 are very exciting when you hit them. maybe because it is the final step to that group of numbers? I always celebrate them. Those and the 9's.

Congrats!!

I know, right?  It just cracks me up that a pound difference made me feel all that much better.  :-D

Thanks!
