So very weak
Had rny on 8/28 and went back to work on 9/4 I muddle through the day and dont really feel close to normal until around 6 pm. This is my first day off and while on the way to Walmart had to turn back around. I knew I wouldnt be able to make it. Just so drained and feeling like fainting. Im on full liquiids and have had a spoonfull of egg salad a couple times thinking im just too low on calories. I can drink as much as I want but still so tired.
I figure I shouldnt worry and I need at least a month to feel normal again.
Just venting hoping im not alone.
You definitely need more time to recover. How much liquid are you getting right now? How much protein? Being low on those things, especially on liquid, will make you feel weak and faint. Just try to get some rest this weekend.

You just need rest, then. Your body has been through a lot.

I had my rny on 8/29 but have not gone back to work and don't plan to until the 16th. Too bad you couldn't take more time off. I felt great for my first week but today had a bad bout with dumping and feel back like I did two days out of hospital. Very weak as well. Even when I was feeling good, a short walk and I had to rest, a shower and I had to rest, haven't even had the energy to put on makeup so you seem to be doing pretty well. I hope your work is easy and you can take it easy somewhat while you are there. Best of luck to you.
I think what you're experiencing is pretty normal considering what your body has been subjected to. It took me about six weeks to really begin to feel that my strength was on the uphill climb.
Keep your fluids going, get as much protein in as possible, take your vitamins faithfully, and I think you'll begin to feel stronger with each passing day.
Welcome to the loser's bench!!!
Thanks all for the responses. I chose to start this morning off different. upon waking I immediately ate some cream of wheat and paced myself. So far today I feel better than the other day. I made it to church and back then a short nap. I could have taken std from work but it seemed to be more fuss than necessary especially since I have a pretty low stress desk job. again thanks for the responses and support.
