New pain on right side 5 days after surgery.

Help! My right side is hurting when I cough or sneeze. It feels like a pulled muscle, is it normal?

My right side hurt too, quite a bit.  It felt like a stitch when you're walking, hard to take a deep breath.  My drain was near there as well, so I thought it was that - but when I went in to get the drain removed (10 days after surgery) the doctor put me on antibiotics, "just in case".  The pain lessened with the first dose, so I think I might have had an infection.  It took about a week to go away fully, three days after finishing the antibiotic.

My experience, but, you might want to call your doctor's office.
