What would you do (pills)?

Sometimes it is prescribed for fibromyalgia and rheutmatoid arthritis, but is not generally prescribed for ordinary osteoarthritis.  Cymbalta has significantly better results for pain treatment than Celexa (except for migraines where Celexa is much better), so is used more often, but even it is generally not very effective for OA.

I was told I could just swallow my pills but I take a lot for bipolar disorder, so that takes up too much space in my already small pouch. So what works for me is crushing them up, taking a swig of water, but holding it in my throat like I was gonna take a pill regularly, then pouring the crushed pills wayyyyyy in the back of my throat and swallowing. It takes some practice to not taste a little bit, and that swig of water hurts slightly going down, but I'm getting ally meds in with minimal discomfort. Hope this helps.

The only reason that I know of, because I was told just today, is that some pills, if not all, have a coating for slow release.  It will pass through before your intestine has a chance to absorb it.  Due to a low hemoglobin # I was told to buy a liquid iron supplement.

I know it's not slow release, because I had to switch away from all of those. I did swallow one last night with no ill effects,so maybe that's the route I'll go. I see the surgeon again in a week so we'll talk then, but in the meantime I may alternate.
