In-home calorie burners....
.. and it had NOTHING to do with what I ate ... not at all ...
....deep cleaning ... when you just want to dust everything down ... from ceiling to corners.... well... I was just in that mood this weekend...
I started with one of my dressers .... if I did not use it for brushing, combing, applying, spraying, roll it on or rub it on during the past 30 days I flung it out or placed it in a give-away box ....
When I was done I loved loved loved my neat and clean dresser ... I can now see and enjoy my favorite "Lady in Red" an original ... oh and one of my working heads when I complete some of my awesome pieces...
after my dresser I tackled all the cabinets and displays with my porcelain doll collection ... the dolls are sitting on top of their certificates ... the one doll in pollera was made by my very own mom and given to me before my daughter was even born and she is in her 30s.... so I thought I would dust down the shelves and even dry clean a few of the dolls' dresses ... but then ... there were more dolls than dust ... YIKES...
and if one wonders what is in the drawers ... YUP ... more dolls.... I just had to take a break ... these delicate creatures take time to dress and they are porcelain so they can break ...
My project was fun but EXHAUSTING .... a real calorie burner ... before I caught myself I had missed breakfast and it was past lunch time ... so I had brunch fit for a queen ... fruta fresca (fresh fruit) mango, cherries, grapes, cheese and cut beef frank in natural casing .... YUM ... easy, quick and delish...
I sat at my table with my wares ... and could not even polish off my plate ... starting with protein first I ate what I could and what I wanted and left the rest... after all my DH was baking awesome stuffed jumbo shrimp (stuffed with spinach/cheese and diced fish) for dinner ... and I was looking forward to that....
I also snapped a picture for my digital empowerment journal "A Picture A Day Keeps the Pounds and the Inches Away"
I continued unpacking and re-arranging and dusting and sorting all through Sunday ...
and I had repeat brunch again.... why not??? I cannot picture life sans a piece of fresh fruit and regulated bowels... I love love love Café con Leche .... my cup of Bustelo Coffee avec Cream was DELISH!!!!!
When I was done I crashed to relax after getting out of the hot tub .... enjoyed the rest of my Sunday after my calorie burning venture right in my home ... that was already clean for starters teeeeeee heeeeeeee .... ahhhhhhhh but that deep deep cleaning ... when one cleans up.. under... over and about ... it feelsssssssssss soooooooo good.... After an awesome dinner with DH and kids I was in relax mood for the duration .....
I love love love my dollies ... always have and always will....
and before you know it I was back to work today ........ MONDAY ALREADY where did the weekend go????
and it is looking mighty empty here ... as we continue to pack away....

I agree, that deep cleaning feels so good! I always feel like I accomplished something great when I get the house super clean! Well, I live with 3 grown "boys" so I suppose it IS a great accomplishment to get the house clean. LOL
