OT: High end sheets and duvet covers or comforters?
Go on Ebay and shop in the Bedding, new section they have a lot of super nice sets! I was actually looking at them at about three o'clock this morning many many many different styles and you can narrow your search by thread count, price, brand, material. Most also have free shipping on them as well :) I told myself that I was getting a new set for making the decision and this time making it my goal to get a surgery date. As to I have tried this before and gave up I wasn't ready and now I am super ready

Hi,
I have a comfy sheet fetish. In fact, I got excited when I saw your thread. I have bought almost all of the sheets mentioned, and I'm going to tell you which one is by far the richest, coolest, and most luxurious. Sheex. You can only get them for a king bed the sheex website or brookstone. The 1st night we slipped into bed with our comfy red sheex, I said to my husband, that after spending thousands on sheets, we finally were sleeping in luxury. We are planning to put our king bed (2 years old) in the guest room, because my husband doesn't like the mattress. (I love it.) I will make sure my guest room has sheex, too. Good luck.
I have two down blankets from them. I loved the first one, but it was very pale blue and my Scottie ended up sleeping on it at the end of the bed, and the oils from his hair discolored it, and then it got a small tear, so I mended it (still good for watching TV under!) and ordered a new one in a different color, and that one is very noisy! I am going to wa**** to see if the exterior softens up and stops making noise, LOL.
I haven't tried any of their sheets, though.

I absolutely love Northern Nights! Every time my mom asks what my husband & I want for our birthdays or Christmas, it's always a set of these sheets. I love them. They feel so nice.
Just an FYI for you, Strjen...
