6 years out, birthday, and more letters behind my name!
Thanks so much to all of you for the kind words and congratulations. I appreciate them all (all the more so because my family has seemed pretty indifferent about the whole thing). It was a long (and expensive!) 7 years to get this degree, and there were a couple of times that I was completely overwhelmed by working a full-time job, working a second part-time job for about 4 of those years, taking classes, and taking care of house/yard/dog(s) by myself. At one point I thought seriously about chucking the whole thing, especially when I realized how much student loan debt I was going to have by the end, and many of you here encouraged me to just hang in there. Thanks.
To the person who thinks I am bragging about all the professional "initials" behind my name... hell yes, I am bragging! I worked hard for my degrees, for both of my national certifications, and for my licensure. You'll not be getting a private reply, BTW. Peddle your jealousy/negativity/crankiness elsewhere.
