Tell me about hair loss

Did you lose hair? Lots? Little bit? Short term? Long term? Did you lose it in patches or just general thinning?

I have a TON of hair, so I'm not stressing yet, just curious.

Some. No big deal; it all came back. The regrowth looked a little funny because of my curly hair oh well

I have a lot of hair to. My hair dresser is not to worried about my hair, but has noticed a lil all over loss. I take 5mg boiton, not to stop hair loss but to help regrowth. I am 3 months post op. Hope that helps some.

I lost half of my hair.  Just overall thinning (which seems to be how it happens for most people).  Not all of mine grew back, which isn't a rare occurrence, but most people find that it all grows back.

At exactly the six moth post-op mark to expect it, I started losing hair BY THE HANDFULS! Noticibly in the shower when shampooing. It freaked me out, BUT, like you,...I have a lot of hair and it was NEVER noticeable. It stopped at nine months and I've never looked back.

I haven't been to surgery yet however I decided to change my diet before I went so that I wouldn't have such a large change all at once and I have been experiencing this. In a pretty decent amount && I went to get Biotin 1000 mcg per soft gel and I take five a day which my pcp advised me to and also told me to get the Walmart brand water flavoring (the liquid) sports that has enhanced vitamin B3, B6, B12 and this has helped a lot not near as much falling out almost stopped :) hope this helps!! Hope to see you on the loser's bench soon, I go for consult on the 29th

Be prepared to lose some more after surgery due to the anesthesia (google telogen effluvium). You will find that losing hair after surgery has nothing to do with vitamins and protein intake, but the trauma trauma to the body and the anesthesia itself. And, taking Biotin won't prevent or slow the loss. It will only aid in regrowth. But it also can aid in regrowth of facial hair if you take too much.

I'm two months out and I've started losing hair. About a week ago I noticed that I had to clean the shower drain twice, and my brush more often than I used to. Not as bad as when I've lost hair due to being super stressed, but I'm nervous about how much I'll lose since its starting already.

I have one bald patch that is growing larger, but mostly losing it all over. When I wash my hair I now have a hair collection bucket in my shower because it was clogging my drain. I rinse my hands of the hair and then throw the hair away after my shower. A neighbor asked me yesterday if I was undergoing chemo. I looked at her quizzically and she said that between the weight loss and hair loss, she had wondered. :(

Lost for a few months....not sure how much. Seemed like a lot but probably mostly noticeable to me. No patches. Is growing back...seems like I have a whole 3-inch hairdo under my longer hair!
