Frozen Hot Chocolate Protein Shake Recipe
Hey everyone -
I usually don't post my recipes on here, but I've seen a lot of posts about people being burnt out on protein shakes. I figured this recipe might help "shake it up." (see what I did there? ha)
Ingredients
~1 packet Diet Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate
~1/2 cup plain nonfat Greek Yogurt
~1 scoop vanilla Protein powder (I used Syntrax Nectar in Vanilla Bean Torte)
~2 packets sweetener (I used Splenda)
~1 tbsp SF vanilla instant pudding mix
~Pinch Salt
~4 oz water
~Ice cubes (8 cubes or so)
~Optional: squirt of whipped cream
Directions:1. Place water in blender (I use my Magic Bullet blender). Then add the protein powder, Greek Yogurt, sweetener, salt, hot chocolate mix, and ice cubes.
2. Blend until combined and there are no ice chunks (the Magic Bullet doesn't have speed settings, but if you are using a regular blender start off on low and work up to high).
3. Top a squirt of whipped cream, if desired

I have everything but the Splenda on hand and just don't use that, so I am going to try this tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe!!

That's funny. I've been meaning to post my own frozen hot chocolate protein recipe. It's kind of similar to yours but I just use 1 cup milk, one packet of sugar free hot chocolate, one scoop protein powder and about 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar free Sweet Italian Cream coffee creamer. I blend it up with ice and it's good to go.
