If they gave you blood thinners that could be causing it.

Wouldn't those be pretty much out of your system, though, eight weeks after surgery?

My surgeon have me a prescription of blood thinners to take for 30 days after surgery to prevent blood clots.

My whole abdomen turned deep purple..like an over ripe peach because of the blood thinner shot. It scared the heck out of me. The nurse gave me the shot in an area where the skin was thin and with lots of surface blood vessels.

I bruised more easily for about a month. But I tell ya, every time I've moved, i ended up with bruises on top of bruises and had NO IDEA where they were coming from (i used to move every 2 years for work). some would be painful to the touch, and some just looked like I got in a barroom brawl! I agree with the folks that are suggesting to perhaps get your levels of iron/ferr. checked. But you may be just one of us moving bruisers. welcome to the club broken heart
