Perhaps ... just perhaps they were told off within the first 10 times that they posted by a "vet" in a not at all kind way and then went into lurk mode for months/years after.  Rather than sticking around to be yelled at again, they leave or lurk getting some information but not all that they could and not becoming a long time member because they don't want to be treated like that again.

Perhaps its not so much that they "piss of to "live their life"" but within the first few weeks of trying to find information and find a supportive community they were torn a new one, they feel unwanted and choose not to come back much.

It doesn't bother me personally, but I understand why it does bother some. Most of us "vets" feel that we owe it to the community to stick around and in some measure give back what we've received. If no one sticks around, then a wealth of knowledge and experience is lost.

I am so thankful to read anyone's experiences of what they went through.  It has been so enlightening for me. I have been helped so much.  It so inspires me to read your stories, see your pics, and especially when any of you post "no regrets", "should have done sooner", etc.  You all are giving back, and I thank you
