I haven't been having any food issues in awhile so I thought id try a lil peanut butter on crackers (not the best option I know, but it was supposed to be a little treat) I ate 3 crackers and now I feel like I want to vomit everywhere and my stomach is cramping ughhhh.... never again!

I have had real peanut butter a few time w/o issues but normally use PB2 as it has less calories and fat.  Sorry you had problems.

I bought some PB2 at the grocery store and have to say it is really good! I was surprised I mixed it with almond milk instead of water.

How far post op are you? I couldnt do PB crackers until about 6 months post op. The combination of the dry cracker and the gooey PB didnt sit well. SO i did PB on apple slices, and that worked much better.

I am only 5wks post op and on soft foods so im not allowed apples yet or that would have been my first choice even without peanut butter. i just thought that peanut butter is smooth and crackers are easily chewed to mush so it would be ok... i was very wrong.

crackers are good only if they are wet, like when added to chili. But when added to PB its hard on the pouch because its so dry. You can try it alone just a little bit on your finger. I used to mix some of the PB2 with pudding. PB2 is a powdered PB less fat, and no oil. The oils in PB can be hard to handle for a while.
