Thanks so much for the encouragement!  I can't wait to feel "alive" again!  I have set on the sidelines for so many years!

It is normal to feel anxious. It is after all a life changing decision to have WLS. I could not sleep for the  2 weeks before surgery, since I was so anxious. I was even mourning the " fat" me. I am now 2 months post-op and I had no problems so far. This forum was a God send, so I suggest you follow it and ask any questions you have on the forum. Good Luck.

I am so glad for your post.  I feel all the things you described.  It does help so much to have this forum to express your inner feelings and have responses from others that have been there, done that.  Thanks!

I was super nervous as well. But I had a friend that just kept saying over and over- " You are going to be fine. You are going to be great." Her faith gave me faith.

I kind of looked at it like going into labor and having a baby the first time- scary, but necessary. And once it was over, a new life began. :) Best of luck!

I love your comparing it to having a baby.  It is definitely scary the first time!!  I will try to have faith that everything will go well. Thanks so much for the words of encouragement!!
